Lafeme bidet seats: fit, comfort and everyday care
A bidet toilet seat adds personal washing to a compatible toilet. Before ordering, check the fit, water connection and the controls you want to use. A little planning helps ensure the seat suits both the toilet and your everyday routine.
The Lafeme range includes Catania Standard, Thea Luxury, Thea Standard, UNA and VERA. Features depend on the model, so keep its full name and specification with your bathroom plans.
Check the fit of your existing toilet
Use the toilet requirement drawing for your chosen seat to check the pan shape, mounting positions and available clearance. Overall seat length alone does not confirm a suitable fit.
Share the toilet model, photographs and measurements with your stockist before purchasing. Confirm that the lid can open freely and that nearby walls or cabinetry leave the controls accessible.
Comfort features for your routine
Thea Luxury lists seat heating, water heating, feminine and rear washing, warm air drying and automatic lid operation. Its remote controller and control knob provide access to its functions.
Check the feature list for the seat on your order rather than assuming every function is included throughout the range. Ask for a demonstration so you can become familiar with the controls and settings.
Plan the water and power connections
Ask your installer to review the water connection and the installation instructions for your chosen model. Where the seat needs electricity, plan the electrical provision before fitting it.
Keep access to the water shutoff and allow room for servicing. Have the installer confirm the applicable backflow requirements for the property and product rather than relying on the presence of a connection kit alone.
Keep the care instructions with the seat
Regular care includes the seat, cover and washing components. Use the cleaning instructions for the exact model; a cleaner intended for the ceramic bowl may not be suitable for the seat.
Keep your model details and proof of purchase together. If you need help with a control, replacement part or cleaning product, these details make it easier for Lafeme to identify the correct advice.
Bidet seat FAQs
Will a Lafeme bidet seat fit my existing toilet?
Fit must be checked against the toilet requirement drawing for the selected model. Confirm the pan shape, mounting positions, clearances and connection access with your stockist or installer before ordering.
Does a Lafeme bidet seat need electricity?
Catania Standard, Thea Standard and Thea Luxury are powered models. UNA and VERA are manually operated and do not require electricity. Check the electrical requirements for the exact seat being installed.
What should be checked before installation?
Have your installer confirm toilet compatibility, water pressure, the water connection, applicable backflow protection and electrical provision where needed. Use the instructions for your chosen model and confirm all required fittings before work starts.
How should I clean my bidet seat?
Follow the care instructions for your model. The UNA and VERA manual specifies a soft cloth or sponge with diluted kitchen detergent and warns against abrasive materials and solvents. For powered seats, follow their own cleaning and power-isolation instructions. Ask Lafeme before using a cleaner not covered by the manual.
How much electricity will an electric bidet seat use?
Consumption depends on the selected settings, frequency of use and time spent heating or drying. Maximum wattage is not continuous consumption. A running-cost estimate needs measured energy use in kWh and your electricity tariff; the maximum power figure alone is not enough.
What warranty applies to Lafeme bidet seats?
Lafeme lists two-year parts and labour cover for bidet seats, with one-year cover for commercial use. Conditions include proper installation by a licensed tradesperson and proof of purchase. Read the current warranty terms for exclusions and service-area conditions.
